WHATSAPPRTMNU Recruitment 2023 Qualifications and Experience

Professor:

  1. An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline.
  2. Minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  3. Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience as an assistant professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
  4. An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field and a minimum of ten years of experience.

Associate Professor:

  1. Ph.D. degree in the relevant field.
  2. Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
  3. Minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience and 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

Assistant Professor:

  1. Master’s degree with 55% marks.
  2. National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET), or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) qualification. OR
  3. Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC regulations. OR
  4. Ph.D. degree from a foreign university in the top 500 in world university rankings.

For Pharmaceutical Sciences, there are additional requirements, such as research publications and experience specific to the field.

For Fine Arts, in addition to the academic qualifications, performing ability and achievements are considered for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor positions.

For positions in Chemical Engineering, qualifications include a Ph.D. and relevant experience, with specific publication requirements.

Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences:

  1. B.Pharm. and M.Pharm/Pharm.D. in the relevant specialization with First Class or equivalent in either degree.

Assistant Professor in Fine Arts:

  1. A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent) in the relevant subject.
  2. Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or holds a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations. OR
  3. A traditional or professional artist with commendable achievements.

Associate Professor in Fine Arts:

  1. Good academic record with a doctoral degree.
  2. High professional performing ability.
  3. Eight years of teaching or research experience, equivalent to Assistant Professor.
  4. Significant contribution to knowledge in the subject, evidenced by quality publications. OR
  5. A traditional or professional artist with commendable achievements, a Master’s degree, and experience in the field.

Qualifications for Professor in Chemical Engineering (P.G.) & Chemical Technology (P.G.):

  1. Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  2. First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
  3. Minimum of ten years of teaching/research/industry experience.
  4. At least six research publications at the Associate Professor level in recognized journals.

Qualifications for Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering:

  1. Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  2. First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
  3. At least six research publications in recognized journals.
  4. Minimum of eight years of teaching/research/industry experience.

Qualifications for Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering:

  1. B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent.

For Chemistry and Humanities, the qualifications are the same as for Assistant Professors in other fields, with Ph.D. or NET/SET requirements as mentioned earlier.

RTMNU Recruitment 2023 Notes, Instructions, Terms & Conditions:

  1. Candidates must read all the instructions carefully before filling out the application form in the prescribed “Format of Application” from the University website www.nagpuruniversity.ac.in. Ensure that all information in the application form is filled in correctly, as it will be used to determine eligibility and suitability for the interview. Incomplete or incorrectly filled applications are liable to be rejected, and responsibility for such rejection lies with the candidate.

  2. Applicants must submit the application along with relevant documents related to caste category if applicable.

  3. Attach self-attested copies of certificates to support the information provided in the application form. The serial number of the attached documents should be indicated in the respective column of the form. Information from attached certificates will not be considered unless it is claimed in the application form.

  4. Qualifications must adhere to the norms and regulations of AICTE/UGC, as amended from time to time and approved by the Government of Maharashtra.

  5. Submit your bio-data along with all sets of application forms.

  6. Ensure that “Proforma-A” supplied with the application form is submitted as failure to do so may lead to the rejection of the application.

  7. The time taken by candidates to acquire M. Phil. and/or Ph.D. degrees will not be considered as teaching or research experience for appointment to teaching positions.

  8. The Selection Committee for the post of Professor may recommend a candidate with exceptionally high academic achievements, specialization proficiency, or extraordinary academic contributions, even if they did not apply or appear before the committee.

  9. The minimum probation period shall be one year, extendable by up to one more year in case of unsatisfactory performance.

  10. Only candidates belonging to reserved categories specified by the State Government of Maharashtra will be considered for reserved posts. Reserved category candidates domiciled outside the State of Maharashtra will be treated as Open category candidates.

  11. The “Defined contribution pension scheme” applies to employees recruited after November 1, 2005, as per Government of Maharashtra regulations.

  12. Candidates must submit Declaration-II of the Application Form as per the rules prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra regarding small family norms.

  13. Attach self-attested copies of caste certificates, caste validity certificates, and non-creamy layer certificates if applicable.

  14. The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the University website. Completed forms, along with self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials in ELEVEN SETS, should be submitted, and the online registration fee should be paid online.

  15. Attach the receipt of the online payment without fail.

  16. Paste a passport-size color photograph in the space provided on the application, duly attested by the applicant in at least two sets of the application form.

  17. Avoid any form of canvassing throughout the selection process as it will be considered a disqualification.

  18. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

  19. The University reserves the right to fill or not fill the advertised posts or modify/cancel the advertisement.

  20. All disputes arising from this advertisement are subject to Nagpur jurisdiction.

  21. Proficiency in the Marathi language is desirable.

  22. Applicants are not entitled to claim TA/DA for attending the interview.

  23. Selection will be based on academic performance and performance in the interview. The University may use seminars/colloquiums or other methods for selection.

  24. The University is not responsible for any postponement or cancellation of scheduled interviews due to unforeseen/unavoidable reasons.

  25. In-service candidates must have their applications signed and forwarded by their current employer. Advance copies may be submitted with the application fee receipt. However, applicants must submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer if the forwarded applications do not reach the Registrar within the stipulated time.

  26. Submit applications well in advance to avoid postal delays or unforeseen issues. The University is not responsible for postal delays.

  27. Applications received after the prescribed last date will be rejected, and no communication will be made regarding such rejections.

  28. For shortlisting candidates for the Assistant Professor position, criteria mentioned in Table: 3A of Appendix II of Government Resolution No. Misc-2018/C.R.56/18/UNI-1 dated 8th March 2019 of the Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, may be applied.

  29. Applications received via email, fax, or any electronic mode will not be accepted.

  30. Qualifications, experience, and all other eligibility conditions should be met as of the last date of application.
